Privacy notice for online donations and mailing list
The Salvation Army* will hold your personal information in order to process your donation (including gift aid as appropriate) and to keep you informed about our work, if you have asked to join our mailing list. This supports our legitimate interests of fundraising and building support for our work with vulnerable people. We do not store your bank details or have access to them.
If you have agreed to giftaid your donation we will share your personal information with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) for these purposes.
We will keep your information for as long as you continue to donate to our work and/or wish to receive updates on our work.
If you have given consent to join our mailing list, we may contact you with updates of our work, anonymised client stories and opportunities for you to get involved. You can request to be removed from our mailing list at any time by emailing email@example.com or writing to The Salvation Army, Hart Place, Bicester, Oxfordshire, OX26 4FR.
You have a right to a copy of information we hold about you, and in some circumstances to have it amended or deleted and to withdraw consent. For this and to raise any queries on how your information is handled please contact Head of Privacy and Data Protection at firstname.lastname@example.org or the address below. If you are still not happy you may raise concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
